Building your Own Funnel….(No Need to Reverse It :-) aka: Why you don’t need the Reverse Funnel System.
Did you know that you can build your own funnel system? See, the folks at the reverse funnel system will often tell you that their system is unique because all you do is drive traffic to the generic website and their
funnel system will take care of the rest. Well, first of all it is never really quite that simple. People don’t generally just drop $50, then $3000, then $300/month without building some type of rapport with the person from which they are buying. Don’t misunderstand me, some will, but they are few and far between. The exposure that the prospect is getting is to Ty Coughlin, not to the person that they will be working with to build their business. Let me help by breaking down this sort of funnel into three simple steps that you can do yourself at a savings of $300 per month.
Step #1: You will need a landing or squeeze page that will capture your prospects name and email. You can get generic pages for your squeeze page all over on the net. Now you know me well enough to know what I will tell you to put on your capture page….that’s right, a video to help people get to know you! Now your capture page should have a unique domain name. You can go to godaddy and search for availability of domains. Find something that is easy to remember and one that is catchy. Be sure to do your keyword research to see what people are searching for and relate your domain accordingly. Now once you buy your domain you will need to host it somewhere, I personally use hostgator, it’s inexpensive and they have great customer service (you can actually talk to a real person, what a concept!) The last step in setting up your squeeze page is to go and get yourself an autoresponder account. A very well known and reputable company is aweber. They are widely used and easy to work with. Then you will get some code that you can cut and paste the name and information form code into squeeze page which will capture the name and email of the prospect who is requesting your information, then it will begin to send them the emails that you have set up at the time increments that you have specified. Now, you’re beginning to put your business on autopilot, you’re well on your way!
Step #2 is set up your follow up emails within your autoresponder system. Give them the information they were seeking and reveal you personality and style so that your prospect gets to know you in your writing as well as your videos (which you are continuing to put out all the while right?) Be sure to continually send them valuable information and not junk. There is nothing more annoying than more “spam” in our email boxes. If you are doing your job correctly, your prospects will look forward to your emails and open them right away. So get a few emails loaded into your autoresponder and you can continue to add to them as you continue to market your business (with what…….with videos! See you’re catching on!)
Step #3, now that you have the infrastructure in place Now you have to get people to your squeeze page. The top of your funnel. You can pay for advertising to get people there of you can do the free stuff. We will focus on mainly web 2.0 stuff. video marketing, blogging and social networking.

- Decide if you are going to build your squeeze page of if you are going to hire it out.
Your are either going to spend time or spend money so not you have to decide.
